Eines Nachts hat Adam (Andrew Scott) in seinem fast leeren Hochhaus in London eine zufällige Begegnung mit dem mysteriösen Nachbarn Harry (Paul Mescal), die den Rhythmus seines täglichen Lebens durchbricht. Während sich zwischen den beiden eine Beziehung entwickelt, wird Adam von Erinnerungen an die Vergangenheit heimgesucht und findet sich in der Vorstadt wieder, in der er aufgewachsen ist, und im Haus seiner Kindheit, in dem seine Eltern (Claire Foy und Jamie Bell) zu leben scheinen, genau wie an dem Tag, an dem sie 30 Jahre zuvor gestorben sind.

Un soir, dans sa tour presque vide à Londres, Adam (Andrew Scott) fait une rencontre fortuite avec un mystérieux voisin, Harry (Paul Mescal), qui bouleverse le rythme de sa vie quotidienne. Alors qu'une relation se développe entre eux, Adam est préoccupé par les souvenirs du passé et se retrouve attiré par la ville de banlieue où il a grandi et la maison d'enfance où ses parents (Claire Foy et Jamie Bell) semblent vivre, comme ils le faisaient le jour de leur mort, 30 ans plus tôt.

One night in his near-empty tower block in contemporary London, Adam (Andrew Scott) has a chance encounter with a mysterious neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal), which punctures the rhythm of his everyday life. As a relationship develops between them, Adam is preoccupied with memories of the past and finds himself drawn back to the suburban town where he grew up, and the childhood home where his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell), appear to be living, just as they were on the day they died, 30 years before.
