Synopsis DE
Nach über zehn Jahren höchster TV-Popularität auf Nickelodeon kehrt der beliebte Unterwasser-Bewohner aus Bikini Bottom auf die Grossleinwand zurück. Regie führt Paul Tibbitt, der auch schon als Autor und Produzent an der TV-Serie des gelben Schwammkopfs beteiligt war.Bikini Bottom steht vor der Apokalypse: Ein mysteriöser Bösewicht hat es auf das schöne Unterwasser-Städtchen abgesehen und versetzt die Bewohner in Angst und Schrecken. Um ihre eigene Welt zu retten, müssen sich die Erzfeinde Spongebob und Plankton zusammentun. Gemeinsam mit ihren Freunden wagen sie sich an die Oberfläche, wo aber neue unbekannte Gefahren auf sie lauern.

Personnage le plus populaire de la chaîne TV Nickelodeon depuis plus de dix ans, le célèbre habitant sous-marin de Bikini Bottom fait son retour sur grand écran. C‘est Paul Tibbitt qui se charge de la réalisation, lui qui a aussi été scénariste et producteur de la série TV de cette tête d‘éponge jaune.Bikini Bottom est aux portes de l‘Apocalypse: Un mystérieux méchant s‘en prend à la belle ville sous-marine et plonge ses habitants dans la peur et la terreur. Afi n de sauver leur propre monde, les ennemis jurés Bob l‘éponge et Sheldon Plankton doivent unir leur force. Avec leurs amis, ils s‘aventurent à la surface, où de nouveaux dangers inconnus les attendent.

La vita a Bikini Bottom non potrebbe essere migliore per l'eterno ottimista SpongeBob (Tom Kenny) ed i suoi amici: la fedele stella marina Patrick (Bill Fagerbakke), il sardonico Squiddi (Roger Bumpass), la scoiattola scienziata Sandy (Carolyn Lawrence) ed il crostaceo capitalista, Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown). Quando la ricetta segreta del Krabby Patty viene rubata, gli eterni nemici, SpongeBob e Plankton (Mr. Lawrence), dovranno unire le proprie forze ed affrontare un viaggio attraverso lo spazio ed il tempo per poter sfruttare i loro superpoteri ed affrontare il diabolico pirata Barba Burger (Antonio Banderas),che ha i propri piani per le squisite prelibatezze.
